Book #2 from the series: A Tale of The Ages

Lair of Darkness

A Tale of the Ages: Part 2

About

Can evil truly be vanquished? Is there such a thing as a happy ending, or are we merely blinded by a temporary feeling of peace?

Six months of peace have befallen Omeria, since Max Starheart and his companions came back from their last adventure. However now a darker presence begins to stir once again over the lands, after several Kavlosian soldiers are sent to investigate local disturbances, only to mysteriously vanish.

Return once more, to a world where magic meets incredible technological feats. Ancient mages, bounty hunters and military soldiers must all find a way to work together and combat a growing threat from below. And an increasingly powerful lieutenant mage, must travel to depths and realms he never thought imaginable, to find the answers he seeks. Only one question remains…

…will truth be found in the darkness?

Praise for this book

The second part of a tale of the ages reads like a train. This time the world is threatened by a monster. It is not an easy task and only with united forces will the mission succeed to defeat it. Some unexpected characters repent and join the fight. But there are also victims ... The book ends with a cliff-hanger.

This is an excellent book to listen to. Excellent adventure feeling and excellent narrating. This book is amazing. Overall excellent book to listen to.

Second part of A Tale of the Ages takes us deep into the crevice between the spirit world and the real world which is where the manifestation of Evil itself chooses to reside and feed on passed souls, growing stronger and waiting, waiting for the right moment to emerge once more... Among the tricks and mirage, our heroes find one powerful sorcerer thought to have perished decades ago, however instead of being dead, he has been held captive. Some souls have already been lost here. But can this one be saved? Can our heroes even save themselves? Adrenalin rushes through their veins as the Evil closes in on them.... * I loved the narration, the narrator truly gives it his all. * Definitely recommended!

Great shorter listen! Super Exciting and never a dull moment! My 12 yr old and I loved listening together. He's not a reader, but this series keeps his interest! Must read!

This book is the second one in this series and it kept my attention from beginning to end. You will want to see how the story unfolds. A great story line , ahh cliff-hanger

Lair of Darkness by the talented Lee M Cooper is a worthy follow up to his great debut Might and Magic. It is no easy feet to create a follow up to a saga whilst keeping the continuity and the magic (no pun intended) of what makes the first one so engaging, whilst also keeping the tale fresh and surprising.
Chase Johnson is a talented narrator who adds to the story, and the with Cooper and he combining the production was very reminiscent to me of the old school matinee radio serial adventures.
Cooper is quickly becoming one of those authors whose releases are becoming must read/hear as his quality of work so far is most impressive.
